This four-year program is designed to provide residents with enhanced career options and to facilitate subspecialty training in fields such as hematopathology or immunopathology that overlap the traditional boundaries of AP and CP. The combined AP/CP training program encompasses two and a half years of AP training and one and a half years of CP training. Residents have the option to apply for an additional fifth year of advanced fellowship training in AP or CP, with ample opportunities for experience in applied or basic research. The continuation into a fifth year is dependent upon the availability of positions and the academic performance of the resident; such applications are reviewed by the senior faculty. Applicants interested in combined AP/CP training should consult the sections of this site describing in detail the first two years of core training in Anatomic Pathology and the first year of Clinical Pathology. The last six months of CP consists of four months of hematopathology and two months of electives.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH ERAS.
